Boobie-Palooza: A Birth and Baby Festival for New and Expecting Parents

Boobie Palooza Attention new parents and parents-to-be! Boobie-Palooza, the first Bay Area baby event focusing on wellness-based education, informed pregnancy, and early childhood natural health, is coming to Berkeley on Sunday, February 22. This amazing new event offers panels, workshops, and expert presentations on the topics of attachment parenting, breastfeeding, birthing options, sleep techniques, and more, as well as exhibitors, entertainment, and family-friendly fun.

Boobie-Palooza is organized by Bay Area birthing and early childhood specialists Dahlia Frydman, a board-certified lactation consultant, and Moorea Malatt, founder of Savvy Parenting Support and certified post-partum doula. This day-long event takes place at Berkeley's Ed Roberts Campus on Sunday, February 22, from noon to 5 pm.

Presentations by leading experts include a discussion about the controversies and misinformations that surround vaccines by internationally renowned pediatrician Dr. Robert Sears, the Art and Science of Breastfeeding and Sleep by Boobie-Palooza co-organizer Moorea Malatt, and a preview of the documentaryTrial of Labor with filmmaker and chiropractor Dr. Elliot Berlin.

New moms can also relax in the Pamper Me Plush Lounge, a  mini retreat offering free chair massage, mini manicures and facials, and an eco-friendly beauty bar benefiting the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. In addition, the Baby Gear Garden will show off the latest and greatest in gear and supplies for parents and the Lactation Lounge will provide a comfy spot for feeding baby. The event will also feature musical interludes by Renée Wilson and Her Band, raffles and prize giveaways, a book nook with a bookstore and author signings, and a Kids Zone presented by Five Little Monkeys.
