Do you love fashion? Love to sew or want to learn? Are you looking for an amazing fashion design experience that goes beyond sewing and is supportive and nurturing? Marin Fashion Academy provides full immersion fashion design, fashion illustration, and fashion styling classes where kids can learn to sew and design, start a fashion business, improve fashion drawing skills, create fashion videos, and learn to do fashion styling. We also offer fashion shows at the end of the 10 and up camps, a fun and exciting way for kids to showcase their designs and leave with a glowing feeling of achievement.
Marin Mommies presents a sponsored shout-out from Gymworld in San Rafael.
Lourdes Esquivel and Victoria Yelensky founded Gymworld in 1999. They were former National members of the team for their respective countries and wanted to pass on their love for the sport and its benefits to children.
Our brand new, air-conditioned building with state of the art equipment is perfect for kids of all ages. Well trained, safety certified staff will make any child enjoy the sport.
GymWorld summer camps are for kids ages 4 and up. If your child is a recreational beginner, intermediate, or a competing gymnast, GymWorld has the right group at camp for them.
At the end of each two week session there will be a performance where kids will demonstrate a floor routine and be awarded a medal for their efforts!
Wishing you could send your children abroad this summer for a rich cultural experience immersed in the French language? EFBA—French Education in the Bay Area—offers children K–6th grade the opportunity to have a true immersive experience in French through our week-long summer camps staffed by French native speakers.
Looking for a fun camp for your kids this summer? Novato's Rolling Hills Club has been a favorite spot for summer fun for many Marin families for decades, and this season the club offers a full program of exciting and active summer camps for kids ranging in age from 3 to 13. Campers will enjoy plenty of traditional camp activities as well as STEAM based programming. (They'll learn something new every day and not even know it!)
Nestled at the foot of Mt. Burdell, the club's seven-acre campus features two outdoor swimming pools, 12 tennis courts, two racquetball courts, an outdoor sports court, an outdoor playground, grassy fields for outdoor play, and more—making it the ideal place for the perfect summer experience.
Summer camps at Rolling Hills Club for 2016 include:
Sports & Splash Camp for ages 5–10, features fun weekly themes like "Art Meets Science", "Grossology", "Junk Yard Wars", and "Pirate vs. Ninja". Campers will be divided by age into Rookies (5), All Stars (ages 6 and 7), and Pros (ages 8 to 10), and will play basketball, tennis, soccer, and wild and wacky games. Of course swimming, in the form of free swim or group lessons, is offered every day, too. Campers receive a T-shirt, as well as healthy snacks and lunch each day. Weekly sessions run from June 13–August 12, Monday–Friday, 9 am–4 pm. $320 members/$370 guests per week, or $70/$80 per day for drop-in.
Linedrive's Baseball and Softball Camps for ages 7–14 feature professional instruction from some of Marin’s very own Local Legends. Campers will rotate through offensive and defensive stations to fine tune skills, and will work drills to improve game IQ. We will end the week with an all-camp scrimmage! If you’ve got a ball player looking for a fun way to improve their skills, look no further! Held at local fields in Tiburon, Larkspur, San Anselmo, San Rafael, Novato.
Our very popular All Sports Camps are back for another summer of week-long fun for kids ages 7–14. We’ll play baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, ping pong, dodge ball, kickball, whiffle ball, bowling, and much, much more! Each week ends with an All Sports Olympics on Friday! Held at our indoor facility in San Rafael.
Marin Mommies presents a sponsored article from Avid4 Adventure which offers summer camps for kids K-12th grades in Mill Valley, Oakland, Palo Alto and Saratoga. Learn more at avid4.com.
At Avid4 Adventure, we think it's never too early to introduce kids to the joys of being active outdoors. That's why our Learn to Bike! day camp helps kids age 3.5 and up embrace the fun of self-sufficient cycling.
Designed for first-time riders (or kids using training wheels or balance bikes), our half-day camp groups kids by ability and leads them through a progression of skills—walking their bikes, scooting downhill, coasting with their feet up, touching the pedals and finally pedaling—giving them the skills they need to get comfortable on two wheels. We also make time for games, art and yoga, offering campers opportunities for fun and confidence building both off and on their bikes.
Does your child love singing and dancing, drama and performing on stage? Are you looking for a summer camp that offers all of this plus the opportunity to make new friends, be taught by talented, enthusiastic professionals and have lots of fun and laughter along the way? Then this is the camp for you.
Singers Marin presents its 4th Annual Summer Camp, where children can maximize their vocal potential by learning to sing songs in a variety of musical styles, take part in daily dance routines and deliver group performances for family and friends at the end of each week’s show. During the week, the children will receive group voice instruction, choral and musicianship training and dance lessons including song choreography. Also included will be some art activities based around musical themes, campfire-style singing, body percussion, and so much more.
My family has been getting creative at Novato's Studio 4 Art since it opened downtown back in 2008. Now, Studio 4 Art brings its fantastic art classes, camps, drop-in sessions, and more to southern Marin with the opening of a new location in Mill Valley!
Parents may recognize the new location as the former site of the Little Art Studio. It's located at 254 Shoreline Highway, near Almonte Boulevard, in Mill Valley's Tam Valley neighborhood. Studio 4 Art offers a wide range of hands-on art classes and camps for toddlers and elementary school kids at both locations. Classes offered in Mill Valley include toddler and preschool art exploration, Spanish immersion + art, clay play, after-school sessions, and hand sewing.
Baseball players of all ages will welcome Linedrive Baseball and Softball, Marin's newest and largest baseball training facility, to San Rafael. This 17,000 square feet facility offers hard ball and softball batting cages; professional pitching, hitting, fielding, and catching lessons; dodgeball tournaments; birthday parties; summer camps, and much more.
Linedrive's four fully automated batting cages allow you to hit real baseballs (and softballs, too). In fact, it's the only facility in the Bay Area that offers this! Cage tokens cost $3.50 ($2.50 for Linedrive members); a pack of 10 tokens costs $30.
