Novato's Hot Amphitheater Nights free concert series kicks off tonight, Saturday, July 29, from 5 to 7 pm at Hamilton Amphitheater Park! Tonight's performer is San Francisco's Royal Jelly Jive, a retro-modern band that blends jazzy cabaret sounds with funk, rock, and soul.

Bring your family and friends and pack up your blankets, lawn chairs and picnics for this fun free event. Kona Ice will be on hand selling shave ice, too. Tea Leaf Green Osher Marin JCC Summer NightsThe Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts at the Osher Marin JCC invites Marin Mommies readers to a free Family Night Out to Summer Nights, their series of family-friendly multi-cultural concerts at their outdoor venue in the hills of San Rafael! This offer is for the Summer Nights concert this Saturday, July 23, where San Francisco's Tea Leaf Green brings their signature indie rock and California Jamgrass sounds to the JCC. Opening the show is San Francisco's own celebrated bicycling beat boxing cellist, Cello Joe.

To secure your free tickets, email by noon on Friday, July 22, 2016 and include your name and the number of adults in your party. Kids 17 and under are admitted free to all Summer Nights concerts, so no tickets are necessary! Please have your entire party with you when you check in at will call the night of the concert.

O’Hanlon Center for the Arts is hosting the KidZone that evening, and will have your kids enthralled in an arts and crafts projects. The Summer Nights venue also offers a safe, fun, and enclosed playground for your kids to enjoy while the concert is taking place. Rock Out with the Wonderbread 5 at the Novato Theater's Free Summer Benefit Concert

Wonderbread 5This Sunday, August 18, dance in the streets to the sounds of the Wonderbread 5 and the Uphill Both Ways Band as they perform in the Novato Theater's third annual free summer concert. The concert takes place from 1 to 5 pm, and takes place in front of Trek Winery on Machin Street between Sweetser and Vallejo.

Food and beverages will be for sale by sponsors Anchor Brewing, Trek Winery, Muscio's restaurant, Mi Pueblo, Red Boy Pizza, and Powell's Sweet Shoppe. Bring your blankets and low-backed lawn chairs.

If you've seen the Wonderbread 5 perform, then you know how awesome they are, and why they've earned their reputation as one of the Bay Area's best party bands. If not, then you'll just have to come experience them for yourself.

Free Downtown Novato Concerts from Rock for Good

Downtown Days on the Green posterCome bring the family to rock out to live music on Novato's City Green! The non-profit Rock for Good Foundation will present Downtown Days on the Green. a series of three free concerts in downtown Novato, kicking off this Saturday, August 27, with a performance by Philip Claypool and the Smokehouse Band. All concerts take place from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.

Claypool—country music star and owner of Novato's Southern Pacific Smokehouse restaurant—and his band will perform American country rock-and-roll. On September 3, local rock band Lucky Dog takes the stage, and on September 10, Marin favorite Revolver brings back the sounds of the '60s.
