MV Code Club Summer Camp

There's still time to learn to code this summer! MV Code Club has space available in many of its fun summer camps for the month of August. Kids in 1st through 10th grade can create video games, experiment with robotics, learn STEM and STEAM skills, improve math, science, and problem-solving abilities, and more! Campers don't just sit in front of a computer monitor for a week—they also participate in fun outdoor games and team-building activities. Check out their website for a full list of available camps.

My son spent a week recently at one of MV Code Club's Unity programming camps. After brushing up on his coding skills with a little Javascript review, he went on to design and develop his own 3D game that he could play on the computer or a mobile device!

He had a lot of fun and really felt that he learned a lot over the course of the week. Of course the fact that his game actually works and is playable proves this! He's really proud of the work he did, and found the counselors to be inspiring and supportive. He highly recommends the experience and can't wait to go back again.
